Brian Ffar at the turntables

ABOUT

Brian Ffar is a Chicago DJ and producer with more than 20 years in the underground scene, known for minimal techno, micro house, and deep house, played with a curator's ear from a deep personal collection of vinyl.

One of the earlier American voices in minimal techno, he co-founded Siteholder Records and, from 2003 to 2008, hosted the Red Line Sessions on Proton Radio, a monthly show spotlighting underground artists. “Billy Bought a Laser” (SH010, 2009), with a remix from Pan-Pot, remains his best-known release.

A fixture of Chicago's club scene, Ffar has held residencies across the city and shared bills with Audion, Marc Houle, Claude VonStroke, John Tejada, and other heavyweights.
